Hoover, Alabama - In only its second year of inception, Golden Running Academy (GRA) positioned six of its runners atop the team podium at the 2016 US Track and Field Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships on December 10th. In the 13-14 year old girls 4000 meter race, GRA runners and Colorado Rush players Jayden Goodrich (U14 ECNL), Katelyn Haerbig (U14 Nero) and Taylor Haerbig (U14 Rush), along with teammates Harmony McMullin, Maggie O’Connell, and Sonja Morin (former Rush player) raced to a combined score of 130 points. The GRA runners’ score topped the second place finishers from Equalizer Track Club (CA) by 49 points. Led by 24thfinisher Jayden Goodrich, GRA placed all six of its racers no lower than 78th place in a field that consisted of 376 runners from across the nation.
