Colorado U13 Azul Boys and several high school players met up with one of our REACH Partner Clubs, Niyakko Rush for a scrimmage. Niyakko, which means brotherhood in Burmese, is comprised of refugees from all over the world that now call Denver home. Coached by Jason Hicks, this group of 22 boys range from middle to high school and have partnered with Rush Soccer and the REACH Program for gear and equipment for the past several years. Because of the wide age spread and the high cost of league play, Niyakko Rush doesn't have the opportunity to play against other teams often, something our players are happy to help change. As Coach Jason says, "They may all speak different languages, but we all speak the language of soccer."
